Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Karen Jones, also known as “KJ” by her family and friends, brings over 20 years of experience supporting executive-level management teams to her role. Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the University of the District of Columbia, Karen is deeply passionate about organizational operations and efficiency.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Karen is an avid reader and enjoys cooking. She is actively involved in various volunteer activities, demonstrating her commitment to supporting the community.

In her position, Karen works directly with the EVP/COO, providing crucial support across a wide range of operational functions. This includes strategic planning, operations support, organizational development, and learning activities. She also plays a key role in fostering innovation, efficiency, and culture within the organization, as well as facilitating communication with the Board of Directors and the VOA National office. Karen looks forward to contributing her expertise and collaborating with the team to achieve organizational goals.
