Vice President of Budgets & Analytics
As the Vice President of Budgets & Analytics at Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas, David Greever manages the preparation and implementation of the annual budgets for the organization, its subsidiaries and more than 50 housing, health and human services programs. David ensures that systems are established throughout the organization to ensure efficient budgeting and that we remain in compliance with our contracts and stakeholder requirements.
Greever has been working for the Volunteers of America family for more than 30 years and has served in several roles from Senior Accountant to Chief Financial Officer for both the Carolinas and Chesapeake affiliates. In 2018, Greever also graduated with the second cohort from the Senior KeyMakers Program, a nationally-recognized professional development leadership program offered to VOA employees.
Greever has served in ministry since the age of 12 when he had to learn to play the piano for the small church in Bowie, MD pastored by his late father. Since then, he has served as church janitor and maintenance man, Sunday school teacher, youth pastor, music director and Chief Financial Officer. He obtained his local license from the United Pentecostal Church International in 2004, was ordained by the same organization in 2011. Greever was commissioned as a Minister of Volunteers of America in 2018. During his tenure at VOA Chesapeake & Carolinas, Greever has attended Volunteers of America sponsored ministry events at Princeton Seminary and Duke Divinity School. He has served on the Chesapeake & Carolinas Ministry Team since its formation, teaching and preaching at VOA ministry events and has even played Santa Claus.
Greever has been married for 29 years and has 2 children who are now grown men, both of whom are actively involved in ministry and one who is a police office for Sullivan County, TN. He also has a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter.
