Daniel S. Carrera

Minister Daniel S. Carrera is a distinguished retired U.S. Army veteran, having honorably served for over 20 years, including two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His extensive military career encompassed roles as an Infantry, Intelligence, and Acquisition Military Officer, showcasing his leadership and adaptability in challenging environments.

Daniel holds a Doctorate from Canaan Theological Seminary Bible College and advanced degrees in Organizational Leadership (Murray State University), Project Management (Strayer University), and Biological Science (University of Wisconsin–Parkside). He has also earned the Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) certification from the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).

In his current role as Program Director at Volunteers of America (VOA) Chesapeake & Carolinas, Minister Carrera oversees educational, leadership development, counseling, and workforce programs. His work is centered on enhancing program effectiveness and creating measurable impacts within the communities he serves.

He is passionate about rebuilding communities and transforming lives, equipping individuals to support their families and contribute meaningfully to society.
