Amere Langley serves as a YouthBuild Case Manager for VOACC in Newport News, VA. With a strong academic foundation in psychology, complemented by sociology, Amere brings a well-rounded perspective to his work. He earned his undergraduate degree from Bridgewater College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University.
Amere has over a year of experience in his current role and extensive involvement in the mental health field as a Qualified Mental Health Professional – Children (QMHP-C). His expertise is bolstered by certifications in Narcan administration, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and other essential mental health-related skills in Virginia.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Amere has a lifelong passion for music. He has participated in choirs, gospel ensembles, and state chorales, and he enjoys breaking down music by ear to explore its nuances and emotional depth. An avid anime fan, he appreciates the genre’s storytelling and artistry.
Recognizing the importance of maintaining balance in the mental health field, Amere prioritizes self-care to support his well-being. He is also a discerning foodie, enjoying meals tailored to his specific tastes.
